Torpido Makina and Kocaeli University (KOÜ) Faculty of Engineering have signed a Professional Training in Industry (İME) Protocol to offer an exciting opportunity to undergraduate students. This protocol is an important step in strengthening public-university-industry cooperation, providing future engineers with practical training in the sector. This collaboration, which is a great advantage especially for engineering students, will enable students to gain real-world experience at Torpido Makina and put their theoretical knowledge into practice. The IME program will be carefully implemented by KOÜ's Department IME Follow-up Committee (BİMETAK) and Torpido Makina's workplace representative. During this process, students' performance will be monitored regularly and necessary support will be provided throughout the training process. The program not only offers students the opportunity to develop their technical skills, but also guides them in understanding the expectations of the business world in the field of engineering. While receiving practical training at Torpido Makina, students will be able to take advantage of the company's social services free of charge. The program will continue for one semester, and students will have the opportunity to work on real projects at Torpido Makina four days a week. This will give students a competitive advantage in the industry after graduation and a head start in the business world. Torpido Makina aims not only to provide students with professional knowledge but also to train them to become the leaders of tomorrow. The protocol also clarifies the responsibilities of the parties in important matters such as the protection of confidential information and trade secrets. Any changes to be made to the protocol during the IME program will be announced at least two months before the start of the academic year. This collaboration will provide students with an excellent learning opportunity as well as a strong start to their professional careers. Torpido Makina aims to prepare students for the future by working with them. This program offers engineering students a unique opportunity for both professional and personal development.
